Terms of Service

TL;DR

Aermia is a small, invite-only community. We support free speech: post things others might not like. We do not support breaking the law. We will remove content that is illegal under Dutch or EU law, and we may remove anything else we judge harmful to the community.

1. Who can use Aermia

You must be 16 or older and have a valid invite. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your password safe.

2. What you may post

Anything legal under Dutch and EU law. Unpopular, edgy, controversial, satirical, or critical content is welcome. Disagreement is not grounds for removal.

3. What you may NOT post

4. How we moderate

We act on user reports and on our own discovery. Removal is not endorsement of opposing views; it is housekeeping. We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion. Aermia is not a common carrier and is not obligated to host any particular piece of content.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant Aermia a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, cache, and back up your content for as long as it remains on the site. You are responsible for what you post.

6. No warranty, limited liability

Aermia is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant uptime, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aermia and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, from content posted by other users, or from unavailability of the service.

7. Privacy

We process personal data under the GDPR. See the privacy notice for details on what we collect, how long we keep it, and your rights.

8. Reporting harmful content

9. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Some content may persist briefly in caches and backups (backups are retained for at most 90 days).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts of the Netherlands. Nothing in these terms removes any consumer right you have under mandatory EU law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use of Aermia after a change means you accept the updated terms.
