- song thrush, two birds, antiphonal pattern. recorded six minutes (finally).
- great tit. several. reciting the same four-note phrase. unionized.
- unidentified warbler, possibly chiffchaff. song was right but the timing was wrong - mid-may chiffchaffs should be louder. possibly a young bird.
- one fox crossing the lawn at 0506. did not see me. i saw it.
- moths: clouded silver (lomographa temerata) on the south wall. first sighting of the season.
- the cat next door, in solidarity, pretending to hunt all of the above.
